WATER

Agricultural production in CA requires massive amounts of water. More than we can naturally produce.

CA has many climates, but most of the state is arid desert, which means there is little to no water table. Since we are an agricultural superpower, water sources are piped in from other states like Oregon and Colorado and held in waterbanks beneath Kern Valley (central CA) owned by The Resnicks (owners of the Wonderful Company, largest producer of pistachios and almonds in the world. Their many brands include Wonderful Pistachios, Halo clementines, Fiji Water, and Pom Wonderful. The City of Los Angeles is the 2nd largest buyer of water in the state (after the Resnicks). But according to EWG's recent tap water database, LA tap water is filled with pharmaceutical irritants namely Arsenic, Trihalomethanes, Bromates and Nitrates.

Thus, your activated charcoal BRITA DOES NOT FILTER THESE CHEMICALS, especially if you live in a building with old pipes. It does a good job of filtering chlorine and improving taste, but not much else, best used in places that don't have high contaminants.

Swap out your water filter for one of these better options:

Reverse Osmosis Filters (best for commercial or large houses/families but wastes 2-3 gallons per 1 gallon of clean!)
Gravity Counter Filter
Purified Water from your local water store
Spring Water is the best, sourced naturally or bought. Best Brands: Live Water, Mountain Valley Spring

If you have to buy bottled water on the run, these are the best sustainable, mineral rich or purified water brands. Most major brands (like Aquafina or Desani) repackage tap water, so ....
